Chief Operations Officer
Major Responsibilities

Directly reports to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operations Officer is mainly responsible for the following duties:

 

  • Planning and management of the day-to-day internal operations of the Company covering various functional units including clearing operations, market and business development, finance, and office administration
  • Overseeing all finance related activities including financial planning and budgetary control, preparation of business operating plan and operating budgets, and compliance with related regulations and requirements
  • Collaborating with senior management to devise and maintain operations strategies and policies to achieve cost-effectiveness, high efficiency and compliance with the relevant statutory requirements as well as the committed service standards
  • Assisting the Chief Executive Officer to devise the overall business strategy of the Company in accordance with the long term strategic directions set out by the Board of Directors and exploring new business initiatives and improvement opportunities
Requirements
  • Suitable candidates should possess university education in finance, business management or related discipline with over 15 years of operations experience preferably in banking or financial sector of which at least 8 years at senior executive level
  • Good knowledge of payment and settlement systems in Hong Kong and the neighboring economies, especially those in the Mainland
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and management skills
  • Excellent command of written English and Chinese and fluency in spoken English, Cantonese, and Putonghua are essential
