Job Position
Assistant Officer (Clearing Operations)
Major Responsibilities
  • Perform clearing operations duties in relation to clearing and settlement of paper cheques, e-Cheques, bill payments and presentments and electronic clearing items
  • Assist in monitoring and performing the clearing and settlement processes
  • Attend to service hotlines in handling enquiries from member banks on the clearing and settlement services
  • Arrange onboarding activities for member banks on subscription or withdrawal of clearing services
  • Assist in administrative and documentation work including preparation of working instructions and procedures
  • Provide clerical support to the clearing and settlement services including data input
  • Provide service support to member banks at clearing counter to collect/dispatch physical clearing items
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned
Requirements
  • HKCEE/HKDSE or above, tertiary education is an advantage
  • 1 – 2 years working experience, preferably in banking or finance industry
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to communicate in written and spoken English and Chinese; fluency in Putonghua is an advantage
  • Proficiency in computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Required to work at alternative sites and perform evening shift duty according to roster
