Senior Specialist (Cloud Platform)
Major Responsibilities
- Provide technical support of the cloud platform including underlay and overlay system components and cloud-native solutions such as cloud management platform, network, compute, firewall, load balancer, database, container, operating system, identification and security tools, backup, monitoring and logging system, etc.
- Act as a primary support owner to the selected system components and/or technical domain, taking responsibility to support and maintain the related technical setup, incident response, evergreen upgrade, patch management and operation
- Provide support to project implementation with vendor support, e.g. new application deployment, cloud platform revamp, refresh and enhancement, etc.
- Work closely with the application team and other supporting team, e.g. security team, for the support of the cloud platform and provide technical assistant to the application team on the upkeeping, troubleshooting and maintenance of application deployment
- Provide support on the development and upkeep of our automation tool for supporting the daily operation
- On-call for emergency production incidents and provide onsite fire-fighting support and perform shift duties as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
Requirements
- University degree in information technology, computer science or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in cloud and/or infrastructure technical administration and support, preferably gained from major financial institutions
- Hands-on technical support experience in at least one of technical domain areas: cloud management platform, Kubernetes or docker, network routing, firewall and load-balancer management, Linux/Windows, ManageEngine, certificate management, etc.
- Hands-on technical support experience in authentication and security tools (e.g. Active Directory, SSO, EDR, etc.), database (e.g. PostgreSQL) and DevOps automation tools (e.g. Ansible, GitHub) is preferred
- Positive attitude and strong commitment to the delivery of quality work
- Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) to collaborate with application teams, operation teams and vendors for daily support and project implementation support activities
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua an advantage
- Candidates with less experience may be considered for more junior position
