System Architect / Senior Specialist (Cloud Platform) – Platform Services
Major Responsibilities
- Act as a primary subject matter expert (SME) to provide technical and maintenance support for the operating systems and infrastructure platform services on the private cloud platform including operational support, backup, system provisioning, system components upgrade, patching, troubleshooting and security hardening, etc.
- Support project implementation including infrastructure setup for new applications, technology refreshment and enhancement, cloud platform revamp, etc.
- Work closely with application and other teams to support platform operation, providing technical assistance for the upkeep, troubleshooting and maintenance of application deployment
- Support the upkeep of automation tools to maintain daily operations
- Develop and update documentation and runbooks for cloud platform operations and incident response
- Manage annual disaster recovery (DR) drill exercises, ensuring documentation is regularly updated according to the change management process
- Provide on-call support for emergency production incidents, onsite fire-fighting support and perform shift duties as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
Requirements
- University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related disciplines
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in SME role supporting IT infrastructure or cloud platforms preferably in financial institutions
- Hands-on technical experience in supporting and maintaining Linux/Windows/Ubuntu, network services (e.g. SMTP, DNS, NTP, SFTP, SSH, etc.), system security (e.g. system hardening, Vscan/Cscan enablement, etc.), patch management, system monitoring and logging and data backup, etc.
- Experience in technical setups and maintenance of AD, ADFS, GPO, EntraID and/or Hyper-V management
- Strong technical troubleshooting and structured problem-solving skills with ability to effectively isolate and resolve complex problems
- Positive attitude, strong commitment to the delivery of quality work, backed by solid analytical skills, a pragmatic approach and a self-starter mindset
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with teams and vendors on daily operations and projects
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese with proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage
- Candidates with less experience may be considered for a junior position
