Technical Project Manager (Cloud Platform)
Major Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end platform evergreening and solution deployment projects for our private cloud platform, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Develop comprehensive project plans and technical dependencies, define the key milestones and critical path, and manage delivery timelines.
- Coordinate execution across internal teams and external vendors to drive solution design, hardware/software delivery, technical implementation, and operational transition to meet the project timeline.
- Proactively identify and manage project and technical issues, coordinate troubleshooting, and dive into technical details to assess risks, resolve bottlenecks, and guide mitigation strategies with hands-on technical involvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop inter-dependency systems maps, quality assurance checklists, operational transition plans, runbooks, and rollback procedures
- Prepare and maintain all project documentation including project plans, design specifications, risk registers, dependency maps, and transition plans.
- Provide clear project updates, translate technical complexities into project or business impact, and drive decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with security, regulatory and operational standards.
- Perform other project-related duties as assigned by supervisors
Requirements
- University degree preferable in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of relevant technical project management experience, with proven success in sizable platform evergreening, infrastructure upgrades, or private cloud deployments.
- Familiarity with cloud platform, virtualization, storage, networks and security technology.
- Ability to drive into architecture, technical dependencies, and operational details to assess risks, issues and guide resolution
- Expertise in vendor management, third-party SI coordination, and cross-functional team leadership.
- Knowledge of PMP, Prince 2 or relevant certifications preferred.
- Knowledge of ITIL and compliance frameworks, e.g. ISO27001; CRAF is advantageous.
- Highly organized, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage.
- Strong multitasking abilities with a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset.
