Architect (Cloud Platform) – Network & Security
Major Responsibilities
- Serve as primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide technical and maintenance support of the network and security infrastructure on the private cloud platform to ensure system stability, resilience and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee product lifecycle management, patching, evergreening, capacity planning, troubleshooting and reporting as the domain SME.
- Act as the domain SME for network and security infrastructure architecture design, dataline connectivity, routing, firewall, proxy, direct connect and security tools such as Cloud Firewall, ELB, VPN and sandbox.
- Direct troubleshooting of issues, risks, production incidents and irregularities related to network and security infrastructure. Prepare incident / problem reports and drive remedial actions and improvement plans.
- Provide professional infrastructure support for new project deployments and on-boarding of application systems to the cloud platform, assisting the Application Team with requests, enquiries and issues such as connectivity or performance concerns.
- Collaborate with the Cloud Architecture Team, internal stakeholders and external vendors to design, develop and implement network and security infrastructures aligned with business and user requirements.
- Provide on-call and onsite support for emergency production incidents and fire-fighting situations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience preferably within major financial institutions.
- Strong, hands-on expertise in designing and handling network and security infrastructure operations, including architecture, dataline connectivity, routing, firewall, proxy, direct connect and security tools such as ELB, DNS, VPN and sandbox.
- Knowledge of cloud computing technologies such as VPC connectivity, Cloud firewall and WAF is an advantage.
- Experience with Fortinet, Palo Alto and Huawei network equipment is preferred.
- Familiarity with ITSM processes and IT compliance standards in the financial industry is beneficial.
- Positive attitude with a strong commitment to deliver quality work.
- Excellent presentation, documentation and report-writing skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage.
- Candidates with less experience may be considered for a more junior position.
